Rachael Kehoe is a Senior Art Director at J.Jill, leading social media and video projects with a keen eye for visual storytelling and 15 years of creative experience. A Maine native and Massachusetts College of Art and Design grad, she now calls the fields of New Hampshire home.

Catalog Design

Designing for the J.Jill catalog, I aim to create a visual narrative that feels both elevated and approachable. I focus on clean layouts, thoughtful typography, and imagery that evokes a sense of confidence—and shows our customer that J.Jill can outfit every facet of her life. The catalog works hand in hand with our in-store and digital experiences, and I make sure each touchpoint feels cohesive and inspiring.

PHOTO ART DIRECTION

When directing photography for social media stills on J.Jill, I focus on creating warm, natural visuals that reflect the brand’s relaxed style. These images consistently perform well across platforms, resonating with our audience through their layered and colorful style.

Branding

I believe that strong logos are built on simplicity and purposeful typography. When I develop branding style guides, I focus on building a distinct mood around the brand, using clear visual standards and real-world examples to create a consistent emotional experience.

WEB DESIGN

I design visually rich, intuitive websites that reflect a brand’s identity and make it easy for customers to explore and shop. By blending editorial storytelling with thoughtful functionality, I create digital experiences that feel inviting and easy to use.

DIGITAL ASSET DESIGN

While at Rue La La, I led the design of lead boutique assets for the homepage, this key placement served as the day’s primary revenue drivers. In addition to crafting high-impact digital assets, I oversaw the review and approval of daily boutique designs from fellow team members to ensure brand consistency and visual cohesion across all fashion events.

EMAIL DESIGN

My email design work strikes a balance between editorial storytelling and strategic clarity, ensuring each layout feels both elevated and actionable. I focus on creating visually engaging emails that reflect a brand’s identity while guiding the customer through a seamless experience that makes shopping feel easy and inspiring.
